Parkdale Intercultural Association (PIA)

PIA ia a non-profit charitable organization that supports immigrants and refugees in settling into Canadian society by offering various programs, and services to support newcomers to Canada in the Parkdale community.

Services Provided:

Languages Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes, Settlement Programs including Pre-Employment training, Financial literacy, Citizenship classes, Counselling, Childminding, Senior Programs and Resources. Visit the website for more information.

Youth Programs Offered:

Youth Settlement Program

Supports newcomer immigrant youth and their families by providing one-on-one supportive counselling to all settlement services.

Tutoring Program

Free one-on-one tutoring for marginalized and low income youth from grades 1-12.

Summer Progam for Youth-Leadership & Volunteer Camp

Newcomer youth aged 14-24 gain valuable work experience in the community and social sector.
