Offer 24/7 crisis shelter, transitional housing options on-site and in the community, health and well-being support, training and skill development, and ongoing care once youth move into the community

Youth Programs Offered:

Youth in Transition (YIT)

YIT program helps young people living in the community cope with major changes in their lives, Assistance with securing housing, training, education or employment, Life Skills training, and Orientation to local resources. Visit the website to access referral form.

Community Apartments

Offers community apartments across the city for youth, ages 18 to 24, who are ready to live independently. Each young person pays a reduced rent on a one-year lease, which allows them to practice living independently with ongoing staff support. Visit the website for more information.

Crisis Shelter

Reception staff and youth workers are available to welcome youth both day and night. The facility offers 96 beds, and residents have access to showers, nourishing meals, and various programs.

Community Support Services (CSS)

CSS offers youth from the community similar supports to those at Covenant House. It serves both those living on the street and those with their own homes who need additional help. Open seven days a week, including holidays, CSS provides a safe space, meals, a food and clothing bank, showers, laundry, and access to health care and counselling.

CIBC Rights of Passage

The program gives young people the opportunity to learn and practice life skills before they move out on their own.

The Rogers Home

Transitional home for victims of sex trafficking. Up to six young women can live here for two years.

The Avdell Home

Short-term residence that provides up to six victims of sex trafficking with immediate housing and 24-7 support while they decide on a longer-term plan.

Supported Lodging Program

Systemic discrimination often makes it challenging for our most vulnerable youth to secure housing. To address this, we have created two specialized houses: one for racialized youth and another for LGBTQ2S+ youth.
