CDI offers tailored services that support children’s mental health, assist families facing violence, and provide early learning and child care.
Services Provided:
Child & Youth Mental Health Services: 0-5 Infant, Child & Family Services, 6-11 Child & Family Services, 12-18 Youth & Family Services and Early Years & Child Care Services. Visit the website for a list of services within each program.
Youth Programs Offered:
This is a 12-week program from CDI’s SNAP initiative. It helps young people, age 12 and up, who are in custody, on probation, or involved in the community. The program uses digital lessons to teach them how to make better choices and avoid future trouble with the justice system or joining gangs.
A 12-week group intervention program for children ages 4 to 18 and their mothers who have experienced family violence. Offered twice a year, the group provides a safe and supportive environment for mothers and children to talk about the violence they have experienced, process their emotions together and learn that they are not alone in their experiences. Child care, TTC fares, dinner and cultural interpretation are provided free of charge.
A 20-week group program for youth 12-18 years old with learning disabilities and self-regulation disorders, integrating elements of evidence-based interventions with Martial Arts Training to provide comprehensive programming that promotes mental health and physical wellness that addresses key challenges in emotion regulation.
A 20-week group intervention program for children ages 9 to 11 years old with learning disabilities who experience difficulties with attention and self-regulation.
