Black Youth Helpline was established in response to the need for culturally appropriate support for Black youth, driven by the voices of those seeking help and initially inspired by a community project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Helpline now serves as a critical resource for youth, families, schools, and service organizations, addressing complex issues such as challenges in schools, mental health stresses, and barriers to accessing professional support.
